How to use Hirly
Run your job search or hiring workflow from one place.
This guide explains the main steps for job seekers, employers, subscriptions, notifications, and support.
Quick start
Choose the right account path
- Use Start as job seeker if you want Hirly to build your profile, improve your CV, match roles, create cover letters, and prepare approved applications.
- Use Post a verified job if you are hiring for a company and need to create a company profile, publish jobs, shortlist applicants, reveal contacts, and schedule interviews.
- After login, use the header menu to move between your profile, dashboard pages, notifications, pricing, support, and logout.
- If you are signed in, the login and get-started actions should disappear. Your initials open your account actions.
Job seekers
Set up your profile and apply smarter
- Create a job seeker account with Google or email.
- Open your job seeker profile and complete full name, email, phone, location, target role, work preference, availability, salary preference, education, experience, projects, certifications, achievements, languages, and references.
- Save the profile before using AI tools. Hirly uses the saved profile as the source for resume generation, keyword matching, cover letters, and auto-apply approvals.
- If your profile score is below 60%, complete the missing fields first. Low scores can reduce match quality and resume strength.
- Use the application tracker to follow roles from applied to viewed, shortlisted, interview, offer, and hired.
CV and resume
Upload, populate, and generate your resume
- Open Job seeker profile, then choose Resume builder.
- Upload a PDF, DOC, DOCX, or TXT CV. Hirly scans it for ATS readiness and extracts usable profile details.
- Review the populated profile builder fields, correct anything missing, then save the profile.
- Click Generate resume draft and insights. The resume preview should use your saved profile and should not invent employers, degrees, dates, or certifications.
- The uploaded CV and AI fine-tuned resume details are saved against your job seeker profile when you are signed in.
Matches and applications
Approve roles before Hirly applies
- After your job seeker profile is saved, Hirly checks live employer jobs and external job sources that match your role, skills, and location preferences. Public approved jobs may also appear on the homepage before sign-in.
- Each match should show matched keywords and missing keywords based on the specific job description.
- Generate a cover letter from the selected matched role. Hirly should use the role, company, job description, saved profile, and CV context to avoid generic letters.
- Approve suitable roles before auto-apply continues. Rejected roles should not be submitted.
- Hirly should not submit the same job twice for the same job seeker. Duplicate internal jobs and external job links are filtered before queueing.
- When AI completes an approved application, the tracker updates and an email confirmation is sent to the job seeker.
Skill readiness
Use practice paths to strengthen your profile
Hirly highlights practice paths for common hiring areas such as Excel and reporting, customer support, software, and data. Use them to prepare stronger interview answers and improve the evidence in your profile.
Employers
Post jobs and manage hiring
- Create an employer account with a business email.
- Complete the company profile with company details, website, industry, company size, CAC registration number, recruiter contact details, and verification information.
- Open job posting from the employer workspace menu.
- Add employment type, industry, department, experience level, education, skills, salary range, deadline, benefits, screening questions, visibility, and job status.
- Use scam detection before publishing. Jobs with suspicious salary, payment requests, weak company identity, personal-email-only contact, or copied descriptions may be flagged for review.
- Return to the employer workspace to edit, pause, close, or delete jobs you previously posted.
- Review applicants, reveal contacts, schedule interviews, and monitor recruitment analytics from the workspace.
- Use the analytics dashboard to watch views, applications, qualified candidates, interview rate, time to hire, and offer acceptance as real data grows.
Interview calendar
Schedule interviews with Google Calendar
- Sign in as an employer and open the employer workspace.
- Review applicants and choose the shortlisted applicant you want to interview.
- Use the interview calendar action to create or open a Google Calendar event.
- If Google asks for consent, complete the consent flow once. After connection, interview events should save the calendar event ID and calendar link.
- If the same interview is scheduled again, Hirly should reuse or block duplicates instead of creating repeated events.
Plans and limits
Choose a plan that fits your usage
The pricing page shows the current live plans. Free job seeker access is limited, while paid plans unlock higher search, match, application, resume, and employer usage limits.
When you pay with Flutterwave, checkout should reflect the current pricing configured by the admin. After a successful webhook, Hirly updates the subscription linked to the signed-in user.
Free job seeker accounts have a small monthly allowance for searches and matches. Paid plans increase the limits shown on the pricing page.

Stay aware of important activity
The notification center can show profile completion reminders, resume optimization updates, new job matches, employer profile views, interview schedules, and application activity.
Job seekers with a profile score below 60% may receive a prompt to complete their setup so AI matching and resume generation have enough information to work with.
Email confirmations are sent for completed AI applications, approved follow-ups, support messages, and important employer actions when the email provider is configured.
Support
Get help when something does not work
Use support for account issues, payment questions, job posting problems, CV upload issues, scraper or external job source errors, and employer verification concerns.
If matched jobs do not appear, check that your profile is saved, your plan still has usage available, and external job providers are not out of quota.
Contact supportProduction readiness
What to verify before scaling usage
Run a real account test from job seeker signup through profile save, CV upload, resume generation, matched roles, application approval, auto-apply processing, tracker update, and email confirmation.
Employers should verify company data, post a complete role, reveal a contact, schedule an interview, and confirm Google Calendar links appear in the workspace.
Admin should confirm live counts, pricing sync, payment events, notification delivery, subscription limits, fraud queues, and moderation audit trails.
